Mountains of the Moon University was established in 2005 as a unique non profit Community University. The Parliament of Uganda authorized the Government to take over the University as a Public University on 7th September 2021.

Teaching, Research and Community Engagement:
All our lecturers are fully qualified and highly experienced in delivering quality education using learner centred techniques. This allows for a more inclusive and productive learning environment which is carried out in adequately equipped facilities at our Lake Saaka Campus.
Students at our Campus, have full access to our Library which contains over 15,000 volumes of books and thousands more in electronic format (E-library) to assist them in their research studies while at Campus or off campus.
