THE 1st VIRTUAL HIGHER EDUCATION EXHIBITION
The Annual Higher Education Exhibition is one of the key dissemination activities of the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) and a premier event in the National Higher Education Calendar.
The 12th HE exhibition was previously postponed to March 2020 at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, due to the prevailing limitations on physical interaction under COVID-19, NCHE proposed and evaluated the feasibility of holding the HE exhibition in a virtual environment, as a sustainable strategy to overcome the physical limitations.
The 12th Higher Education Exhibition (HEE) will therefore be conducted as the 1st VHEE in Uganda, hosted and moderated virtually by NCHE from 25th – 27th May 2021. This year’s theme: Adaptation to current and future challenges for Higher Education under the COVID-19 pandemic.
Objectives
- Provide a sustainable mechanism for continuity of the HE exhibition under the new normal.
- Widen the outreach scope of the HEE to the entire nation.
- Strengthen innovation and growth of HEIs digital capacity.
- Explore digital opportunities to enhance the NCHE dissemination activities with virtual stakeholder engagements.
